Notable Organizations in Thailand for Australians
On the other hand, there are also several organizations and institutions in Thailand that were purposely built to enhance Thai-Australian relationships. So in case you are also going to stay longer in the Land of Smiles, you will also have some form of social support from these Australian organizations located in Thailand.
21. Australia-Thailand Institute
Established in 2005, the Australia–Thailand Institute (ATI) promotes bilateral relations with Thailand and to expand institutional and people-to-people links. The ATI is funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and managed by a Secretariat located within DFAT in Canberra. The Australia–Thailand Institute supports and initiates activities consistent with its goals, on the basis of a strategic plan and priorities set annually by the Advisory Board.
Wherever possible, the ATI seeks to expand people-to-people and institutional links through programs, partnerships with other organizations and seed funding of projects to enable them to grow.
The Institute seeks to target the next generation of leaders in both countries across a broad spectrum of backgrounds from the arts and business, cultural and community groups.
